Indeed it is and I would suggest that because there are not main thoroughfares running along the sea-fronts in many towns such as Los Alcázares and San Javier, that elderly people would feel completely safe and not likely to be hit by a car. Very leisurely areas but with good shops and eating establishments. One of the reasons that many of the people who move here are pensioners. Oh and if you a referring to the actual Mar Menor as a sea to bathe in, then even safer as there are virtually no waves and the bottom is sandy in most places.

Best clarify your question...The Mar Menor... shallow lagoon....Mar Menor area in general and towns along the coast ...or in fact Mar Menor Golf Resort.
