OK, I am waiting for my Visa to be granted, when it is the plan was to drive down in my Motorhome and stay on a site while I find a house to buy.
I have had mixed advice, some say it’s impossible to get spanish plates on a Motorhome and also very difficult to sell a UK plate one in Spain. Any advice or suggestions would be welcome.

If it is a lhd van, with the exit door on the left then it could be possible. Check with one of the specialists in rematriculating.

If the door is on the right then it would never pass an itv so impossible to transfer to Spanish plates

Confusing , this.
My Hymer's habitation door is on the same side as the steering wheel, which is RHD. (Hymer cheat with some of their UK market vehicles, in that they don't do a full RHD conversion)
If you have RHD, and the hab door is on the opposite side then the ITV will be difficult (I think I know one RHD DIY van conversion who got it thro')
Car registrations Spain imported ours. Excellent service. You have a limited time-frame in which to do the import and avoid import duty - you also have to have owned the vehicle in the UK for a minimum (cant remember now) time period to avoid duty.
