This will be our first summer in the apartment and am wondering if I should get a third unit for the lounge?

Hubby thinks the lounge will be cool if we leave the bedroom doors open and the bedroom units will cool the lounge.

I'm not so sure and also am concerned that the bedroom units will be overworked and eventually break by doing this.

Am I better off getting a unit for the lounge?

No experience of AC so am a bit clueless.

Therefore what I'm saying is, you have a short term fix at hand, but better to think about installing a unit for the living area as it would likely need to be more powerful than the bedroom units anyway - e.g. you might have two 2Kw units in the bedrooms but need a 2.5Kw for the living area. Probably cost about 600 - 700 euros installed.
