Hi folks,

I feel it is my duty to warn anyone planning to buy a car to avoid Coches Low Cost Murcia.

It is a dodgy dealer, and irresponsibly so - more than one person on Google Reviews in Google Maps describes my experience: 2nd hand cars that are overpriced and have loads of unacceptable faults reputable companies would fix pre-sale, and that are quick to discover with the diagnosis tool every mechanic has.

Look at the picture of the contract I was presented with on going to collect my car, clause 2 is outrageous - and you don't see the contract until you've already paid over 50% of the price and go to pick the vehicle up, reaaaalllly sly and calculating s**tbag of a man: the guy's a calculating con artist, as well, clearly.  And, personally, I found him stomach-turningly slimy and false over the month I had little choice but to interact with him as I'd already handed over €1,200 and regretted it...  I paid €2k for a death trap, I would say - that's a con, clearly.

Main point of this message, the Victor person appears to be so irresponsible as to knowingly sell you a car that is dangerously unroadworthy - I really mean that and am 100% convinced it is factual truth, I have waited a month after the accident I had in the car I bought there (20 minutes after picking it up, noticed defects like faulty turbo and motor warning light as I drove then woke up in hospital 8 hours later!, I think I'm lucky to be alive and that no other vehicles were involved) to form an opinion and conclusion about the whole unpleasant experience with that man: he's a liar and utterly irresponsible about people's safety to - to add insult to injury -rip them off and give the impression of enjoying lying to you and ripping you off.

Really, look at Google Reviews and you'll get a second opinion.

Victor is a danger to the public who shouldn't be allowed to have a company, I'm sad to say for him, I wish I could be more positive, but disregarding the safety of others cynically is one of life's unforgivables, IMHO - imagine someone gets in one of his death traps with their children and has an accident because the car is unsafe at the moment of sale - unforgivable, filthy cynic.

I'm not angry, by the way, so is life..., I'm still alive and can still serve my bossy little cats, that's what matters most, eh.  Just want to spread the word because the guy's a danger to the general public and a con man.

I understand you are not happy but not being funny what do you expect for 2000 euros? and the car must be at least 23 years old

Second hand cars are very expensive in Spain as they do not rust like the Uk or other countries with less favourable weather.

As I have said many times on this forum when buying a second hand car be it private or business seller check it out. Carfax is a reputable company that give the complete history of the vehicle and for the cost it can give you peace of mind.

Hi eduardo3332,

"what do you expect for 2000 euros?" - Eh?! Ancient or newer, I expect a) a car that doesn't develop a fault within five minutes of driving it, and b) the seller to be an honest gentleman/lady and advise me beforehand if they doubt it will fulfil the requirements laid out by the customer very clearly several times, and agreed to, prior to purchase.

Thanks for the advice about carfax, I'll try to remember it, if there's ever another time.

You say there was problems within a short time, you have the right to have them fix any problems I believe 3months or maybe even 6 did you completely a complaints form,? Or actually ask the garage to rectify the faults.

How far did you actually drive the car before purchasing?

Hi,

Thanks for that information, also good to know.

Yes, the vendor has told me this morning to return the vehicle and they will look at the car to either fix the faulty diesel pump or offer me some kind of refund, I had asked for a complete refund. Let's see how it goes.

Hello Englishperson,

In my humble opinion I suggest to you to remove the picture of the contract, there are much to much private details shown for an open forum.

Only showing clause 2 is enough I supose.

Cheers Peter

Hola   Spain is full of "rip-off merchants"   far worse than the UK

I was caught with Specaist vehicles of San Javier      lost a lot of money    no after-sales service

lost my car even     it had to be scrapped

my tip look around for a lease car    a small Kia is around   €150 pm     you may find some ex-hire cars   but be careful

(never know who drove the car)

I bought a Volvo   from     Paul     cars in spain    torre-pacheco   over four years ago     (I will not say any more I have no wish for it to stop working)

I hate these all encompassing comments deriding Spain. If you don't like it leave. I've lived here 21 years have changed my car's a number of times. Had numerous house works done ranging from new showers to complete transformation of the garage to living accomodation. I've only ever been ripped off once. When replacing my electric boiler which is in the courtyard and easily accessible . The two individuals were British!!!!! So let's not slag off Spanish workers as though they were all crooked , I've been very pleased so far and I think 21 years is a good test don't you

May I say I find this whole post a little bit strange. In the first post the original poster suggested that the faulty vehicle caused him to be involved in an accident which resulted in him waking up in hospital. Any post after that does not mention any accident or hospitalisation. Surely this would be your main focus and not the fact that you are asking the seller to change a diesel pump. Maybe I’m just focusing on the wrong issues.
