Just been to Spain to apply for residencia .Last month my S1 could be used to include my husband who has not retired yet but my solicitor has informed me that this has now changed and you cannot piggy back a spouse anymore so he would need private health insurance. This is just info to make anyone else in the same situation aware

Not aware of this...had my S1 this weekvery efficiently processed by UK office and no mention by them of any change. Am seeing my solicitor in PdM on Friday morning. Will let you know what he tells me

This isnt true...friends have just done exactly that...in Murcia. Check with CAB Spain
