Having read the posts, I don't think we'll rule anything out completely. Thanks for your comment.

Well put safcjacquie

We also bought on CDA over a year ago, we also love what we have, nothing better than waking up to uninterrupted views of the mountains, and going to bed on the back of superb sunsets.

Not to mention having enough facilities to keep you entertained throughout your stays, oh just thought I'd mention, we do play golf too, AVERAGELY, but love it.

Hi. After quite a lot of research, we decided to buy in El Algar. It’s a 5 minute drive to Los Urrutias and 12 mins drive to Los Alcázares. It’s on the southern edge of the Mar Menor (which we love) but also very close to the Med with many other beaches and areas of interest. Cartagena is a 10 min drive but you can also catch the train there from the next village (La Union). There is also a large shopping centre Espacio Mediterráneo a 12 minute drive.  Corvera airport is about a 25 minute drive.  Lots of shops and bars in the village. It’s worth a further look and research before you decide. Hope this helps.

Have a look at Sucina - nice place, quite a few English folk there. Very reasonable prices.

I have recently purchased in Camposol after listening and reading the negative reports I decided the positives outweighed the negatives. I'm blessed to have great neighbours and I find it's location is ideal for me. Also being so close to Mazarrón and the beautiful coast line is an added bonus. Just make sure whereever you decide to settle that flodding is not an issue.

Best of luck

Thanks for your reply and apologies it;s taken me a few days to respond. I've been ill with flu and whilst sneezing, put my back out! Another of the joys of getting old lol.

We'll certainly look at Camposol and thanks for your suggestion!

Thanks for your reply and apologies for the delay in replying, but I've had the flu and then, whilst sneezing, I put my back out. Ah the joys of getting old lol!

Your point about flies is interesting as that was the one (and only) thing we found as a negative when we visited Santiago de la Ribera.

We are going to come out in Feb and have a much more focussed look around.

Thanks Again

Dave

Hi everyone.

I think it's safe to say flies anywhere can be an issue, however if you look around most people install fly screens as a matter of fact.

When looking at a property to buy if there not installed take it off the asking price.
