I agree !    Nobody is having a go and I thank all the other people who have made suggestions on their posts !    Denise has done a wonderful thing and She should be applauded and helped any way possible by everyone to resolve this awful situation.

I know we can't change the culture of Spain and I don't want to, it is not in general the animal loving culture of the British and thats just the way it is ,but as humans we can try and help and even educate where we can ???...

...

If you can't look after an animal properly then don't have one !

I have someone involved who works and fosters with the animal charities.  Her major concern is that sometimes the police involvement means animals are simply taken to a kill station, which is certainly not the outcome we want.

The chap is well known in the village and when we appeared unannounced he came out, as dog lovers you all know dogs show fear if they have been mistreated.  There was no sign of fear and the puppy went to him willingly with no hesitation.

It is our intention to check the situation several times a day and if we find no improvement we will arrange to have the puppy removed.  Many people in our village have had just cause to remove animals many times and they ensure the animal goes to a sanctuary and not A KILL station.

The situation is very stressful and I welcome your positive comments.  I wish I could just take the puppy and keep him but that is not possible and he would simply be replaced with another one.

I will keep you updated and thank you all for your concern and help

Don’t wait.

the puppy might die.
And it is obviously being cruelly treated.

See my previous post.  The puppy is being monitored by a lady who works with animals, he is well fed and not looking distressed at all,  If a problem arises action will be taken but the police will not remove an animal that looks happy and healthy.

Thank you for caring, none of us want to see an animal in distress.
