can anyone recommend a good TV person to adjust my satellite dish. I get a lot of stations but Quest , DMax, Dave and a couple of others don't come in . My dish is 1.8 metres and it's on the solarium so no ladders required. I have friends in Lo Pagan who get all these channels. As I'm sure  You've guessed it's Freesat . my box is Manhattan.,

Thanks in sdvance

If you are receiving many other Freesat channels correctly, but just a few are missing, then it's not your satellite dish. It's more likely to be your decoder which hasn't kept up with any recent changes to the transponder and frequencies of said channels. I don't know the Manhattan decoder and whether or not it automatically updates a channel's parameters. The more expensive decoders do this, while with the cheaper ones you have to manually search for existing channels that have moved frequencies. I have one of each, and for the manual one, I regularly check www.kingofsat.net to see if any channels have moved. It's a bit of a pain though.

Thanks for that information, I must admit that the Manhattan box is cheap but does give all the important stations. The odd thing is that some of the others used to o come in early in the day and the disappear we except numbers 127 and 157 which never have but, as they say , you get what you pay for. Thanks again

Your decoder should have a "search channels" (or similar name) in the decoder's installation menu. I look at the King of Sat website and see what new or changed channel has been flagged, note the transponder reference (e.g. 10977) and then search for new channels on that transponder using the decoder. It adds all new channels on that transponder, but puts them at the end of the channel list. You can renumber them later to suit in a different sub menu of the decoder box.
