Does anyone know a good place to buy a gas bottle ( think the orange ones are the size I need ). for a small portable indoor gas fire ???

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Facebook is a good place to find one.

Sometimes they are for sale on here.

Be careful that the gas heater does not cause condensation & mould problems.

You can buy gas bottles at some petrol stations. Keep an eye out.

A truck comes round with bottled gas, people flag down and change empty for full, thus weeks price 12.74 euros. We asked if he had any bottles to sell and a full bottle, at the time, cost just shirt of 26 euros. When we wanted another bottle he only charged us for the fas. Worth trying.

I,ve just changed a silver cepsa butano bottle at local garage, price was 15.80€. I didnt think there was that much differrence in the price. Are the prices government fixed or not and is one any better than the other?

Regards

Pauline

Gas prices go up and down depending on price of gas and are fixed by the government. The differing prices depend how much various outlets put on for being a retail outlet.

So I would need to shop around then if each outlet asks whatever price they want. I didnt realise this, I thought they were fixed prices like tobacco, and 3€ differrence is substantial if exchanging frequently. I have one of each type, cepsa and repsol so will ask around for each type. Thanks for info

Pauline
