... If you're not a technophobe, it's possible to do-it-yourself, and for less money. It's particularly cost-effective if you're not a permanent resident, as you don't have to pay €29.99/month (or whatever) for a service when you're not here. To do it yourself, you will, in any case, require a broadband connection, plus access to a SUITABLE (i.e. for streaming) VPN software application (not all are), and some hardware (again, of appropriate specification) to run it from. It can, on occasion, be bitty, and frustrating, but depending on what UK TV services you have access to (back in Blighty), it can allow you to view a more expansive range of services than the managed services offered by local providers.
