... If you're not a technophobe, it's possible to do-it-yourself, and for less money. It's particularly cost-effective if you're not a permanent resident, as you don't have to pay €29.99/month (or whatever) for a service when you're not here. To do it yourself, you will, in any case, require a broadband connection, plus access to a SUITABLE (i.e. for streaming) VPN software application (not all are), and some hardware (again, of appropriate specification) to run it from. It can, on occasion, be bitty, and frustrating, but depending on what UK TV services you have access to (back in Blighty), it can allow you to view a more expansive range of services than the managed services offered by local providers.

I use flexa WiFi and English TV when we are over. It's a daily charge of € 2 euros a day for first 8 days then €1 euro a day after. Maximum time you can book is up to 90 days so €98 euros charge. English is basically Freeview channels in the UK.
