Hi does anyone know if the train station next to Hacienda Requilme has ever been in Operation or is there any plans to be able to get a train to and f from there in near future.Its so annoying that it passes there but nearest stop is Balsicas.I'm sure a lot of people would benefit if it was to stop there.Thanks

Zero chance of opening the train station ...they don't reopen then in the UK so Spain have no chance..their nationalised rail service is excellent and cheap and often free . Their high speed service is excellent. Balsicas or bust I am afraid

The station was open for 100 years but sadly closed just before Polaris started work on Riquelme.
Many efforts were made but came to nothing.
If you know the FEVE line that goes to Cartegena they have an on board ticket collector and it stops at all the small stops on the way. For instance Los Nietos has 3 stations!
But now FEVE has been taken over by the national RENFE so I guess any progress is unlikely.
The only change at the station since HR has opened is that it is now covered in graffiti.

Hi thanks for your reply we got a train from Alicante couple weeks ago and it passed Hacienda Requilme would been great to be able to get off there,but nearest station is Balsicas so from there had to get taxi.I was wondering if that station had ever been opened or if there was any future plans to open but guess not.
