Hi my wife (Susan) and I (David) will be moving to Blaca town in mid October. We have brought a lovely little townhouse.  We were wondering if there are any social groups in the area, plus where the spanish lessons are.

Harkie62 Posted by Harkie62 in General Ricote discussion on Sun Aug 4, 2019 3:15pm

Afternoon all,

After having 2 failed attempts to get outdoor furniture delivered to my holiday home in the Ricote Valley whilst there on holiday, I’m now looking for someone who is prepared to help me with this situation. I was refunded both times but really need to get some comfy outdoor furniture for the back patio by end of August which is when I shall be returning to Spain.

Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Pat

How to find a small rural house to rent - 2 replies

SwedishAnna Posted by SwedishAnna in Introduce yourselves in Ricote on Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:10am

I am a writer who like nature and quietness. I would like to find a rather small and simple house to rent long term preferably in nature or in the outskirts of a village/town. I don't know if it is possible to find such a house on a rental sajt, or if there can be something available if asking around.
Cheers Anna

Health Cover for Residencia - 8 replies

Alizin Posted by Alizin in Residency in Ricote: padron, residencia and passport advice on Fri Aug 3, 2018 4:40pm

Advice please

we are two early retirees who are looking to apply for residencia after having moved to Ricote earlier this year.

We plan to take up Convenio Especial but apparently this is not available until you have been a resident for a year. As you need to show health cover to apply for the residencia in the first place and this we do not have, having exhausted our cover from the UK.

If anyone has a way around what seems to be a catch 22 situation I would be grateful. The only way I can see is to buy into full health cover for a year and then drop it in favour of the Convenio especial, but I cant believe that this is the only solution

thanks
