I'm sure there are. I'm working from home in the rain and would much prefer to be beside my pool in the sun / warmth of Murcia. I have a flight booked to Alicante for Sunday, which incidentally hasn't yet been cancelled by Ryanair, but I won't be travelling because...

Yesterday, the government issued an Exceptional Travel Advisory Notice,The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) now advises British people against all non-essential travel worldwide. This advice takes effect immediately and applies initially for a period of 30 days....

...

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-advice-novel-coronavirus

Many countries worldwide - EU, USA & Canada, Middle East, Asia, Australia, South America - are in lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus both from & to their countries.

The initial poster on this thread was complaining that Ryanair were being irresponsible in continuing flights, however others have commented that they are helping Spaniards & Brits get home - and I'm sure they will do unless instructed not to.

My point is that the Sue46 quote of "If you are ill you should not travel but if you are ok than it should not be a travel bam (assumed 'ban')" is ill-informed; particularly as many people will be carrying the virus without showing or feeling any symptoms...

It is very strict here with the police on the streets etc. Thr weather is not so good either. Probably best where you are at present.

To all those people who like to bash Ryanair at every opportunity I will say this.

We flew home to the UK with them last night. We are extremely grateful to them that we were able to do that. Only 31 people flew in, we assumed that they probably live in Spain and so had no choice. Our flight was about half full with all couples/singles distanced from each other. Ryanair must be...

... losing money hand over fist by doing this. So they are not being irresponsible, they are acting in a very humane way.

THANK YOU RYANAIR!

Keep up the good work getting us home, wherever that may be.

Refreshing to read a positive comment on Ryanair........they are doing more to repatriate people than most and for all the begrudges let’s hope you don’t come unstuck one day and need to rely on them.

With Ryanair’s support people will hopefully get home to loved ones and stay well until it is safe to fly with them again.

Listening to the Irish news here at home......Ryanair have said most if not all flights will be grounded from midnight next Tuesday 24th ....... maybe anyone looking to get home, wherever that may be should think about rescheduling their flights....good luck.

You obviously don’t need to get home. Selfish or what!

We have tried this but there are no flights listed until March 29. Why don’t they let people change their flights, and get them home this week?

Wish they hadn’t cancelled flights this week because we just want to get home. We are scheduled to leave on March 30 and I see they are selling flights starting March 29. That contradicts their website saying they won’t be flying from next Tuesday. Which is it? The uncertainty is more worrying.

According to what is on the news here Ryanair have to abide by the restrictions put in place by the different countries which is restricting the flights that can be made...... people are reporting online that they are having difficulty changing flights but I think perseverance is what’s needed now.....and serious consideration needs to be given to buying new fights and then trying to get a refund for those unused which you should be able to do if your flights are cancelled........good luck.....
