I use wise for money transfers and am thinking of getting their debit card. I know it says it’s free to withdraw up to £200, is it also up to €200 in Spain? and  what do the Spanish banks charge for using their ATM,s?

You will be charged by the Spanish ATM to withdraw cash from your Wise euro account in Spain.

Wise do not make the charge.

The ATM charges a variable depending on whose ATM it is

Thanks Roland. I use Sabadell card at the moment and the charges from other banks are about €2.50, upwards.  I’m guessing it’s about the same for wise. If you use wise would you recommend them rather than Sabadell?

I use Wise & have done for a number of years.

I have a Cajamar Wefferent account that has a debit card & free cash withdrawals.

I don't use much cash to be honest nowadays.

Ok. So you use the cajamar card for withdrawals, is it free withdrawals at every bank or just the cajamar ones?  maybe I should see about getting a cajamar card.

I don't know if cash withdrawals are free from a non Cajamar ATM sorry.

Others on here use the same account & will advise you better.

I don’t think it’s anything to do with your bank, you order the wise debit card online and they send it to you.

We have both Wise and a Caixia bank account. We use the wise to have my wife's GBP pension paid in then convert to euros as and when the rate is any good. We use the Caixia for our DDs here in Spain. It all seems to work OK  all ATMs charge to use the wise card so we tend to use it as a debit card in the shops, fuel etc thar way no charges.
