So you have no inverter on the walls of your flat? If this is the case, I take it you’ve asked your neighbors to see if theirs is working? If they aren’t individual they may all be fed from one source like an AHU (air handling unit)

I have 3 units in my apartment, the other 2 are working, I have no remote for the unit that isn't working and when I press the on button, nothing
In that case there is obviously an issue. There’s an option here to upload a photo. I suggest you do that first so we all know what you’re dealing with

You say you have no remote for this room but you do for the other rooms. They should all work of any remote. I presume you have tried this?
Regards Steve
Also we need to know if the units are all the same or not?

The 2 that work are LG the one that doesn't is a Samsung, yes I have tried using the LG remotes, I have tried a universal remote but I can't see the 4 digit code to put into that, I presume it (remote and unit) worked before I bought the property, I was always told that the inverter should be as near to the inside unit as possible, but in my case i'm on the ground floor and the building is 4 storey so is it still possible for the inverter to be on the roof?

Yes it is I would have a look on the roof. The remotes will only work with the same model. Have a look for the Samsung unit. To get the correct remote you will need the model number of either the inside or the outside unit also the serial number will be needed.

We still need a photo.
As steve1 said. Look on the roof. The inverter will be there somewhere. You should be able to chase back the pipes carrying the f-gas. If you find it , take the cover off and you’ll see either a split board or a single. Make sure you have power by using a meter. The boards will be individually fused. Could be something simple but we need pics.
