Hi, I'm AndyBakes.  I'm thinking of renting long to longer term in Murcia, Balsicas or another place where a car isn't mandatory, at least for living purposes.  I'd be back and forth to the UK as, although I'm 70, I still work (and won't be retiring); and initially am considering renting for up to three months, perhaps a month or so at a time at first, so would welcome:

1) Advice generally on living in Balsicas.

2) Knowing of any rental place in the area that could be available on an ad-hoc basis, preferably with two beds (and two baths, as now and then I'd have one or two of my children come out either with me or to visit).

Thanks in advance,

Andrew.

We live on Sierra Golf, Balsicas is our nearest village but don’t really spend much time there. There’s been no major floods that I know of. The bars I believe are now in line with other areas, 4 to a table outside and 30% occupancy inside with 2 at a table. The number of COVID cases in Balsicas at the moment is about 3 the last I heard, previously was in the twenties, so come down significantly. same as everywhere else masks are mandatory.

Hi there. I lived in Spain recently just around the corner from Balsicas and rarely ventured into town. I’d prefer the town just over the road which is known as Roldan. There’s plenty of options for living including the many golf resorts. I lived on La Torre which is a secure place to live with 24 hour security. The development is lovely and you can find a wide range of Spanish and Expats. There’s a hotel, shops, bars and restaurants in the development. Most people though would recommend a car. Try Googling selling sunsets and talk to Iain Mitchell. He had a wealth of knowledge on the area. Mark.
