Sierra Golf is a lovely development, a short drive to the village of Balsicas with a very popular golf course. As others have said it has 2 bars, one with a swimming pool with community events organised. The supermarket is planned (the building is already in place). The houses have been purchased by a reputable builder after the original builder went bust a number of years ago and have been refurbished. They are being sold at competitive prices and daily more and more are being sold. There are no community fees. I chose to buy here a number of years ago because it is quiet, has a good mix of nationalities, it is a short drive to the nearest beaches, has a train station (in Balsicas) to Murcia, Cartagena, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia etc. The golf course is further being developed to 18 hole and there will be more houses planned in the future around the course (the building work will not impact on the development, its a long way from current properties). It’s about as isolated as any other development I can think of in the area and most people have made a choice to live here as it gives the best of all worlds. You would need a car to get to the village, but there are plenty of people here that look out for each other.

Disappointing to see the rudeness of some people’s responses on here, we are not here to knock other people’s choices or reasons, just to give information. 

Well said, you live where you choose to live, you will always get the odd person who will knock everywhere where they don't live, if you haven't got anything good to say about a place then keep quiet let people discover for themselves if it is or isn't for them, I have recently moved not a million miles from Sierra golf and I know it wouldn't be some peoples cup of tea, do I care, not in the slightest.

If you want a secure environment in a resort which is complete you might like La Torre Golf Resort between Balsicas and Roldán. It has an 18 hole golf course, an hotel, a large Spa supermarket and facilities which include bars and restaurants. There are a large number of pools, two tennis courts, table tennis and fitness machines and a planned padel tennis court. There are additional facilities in the summer season. It is one of the safest places locally as there is 24 hour security. You can walk to Roldán (although that takes around 30 minutes) for further shops and restaurants.  A car is necessary as there is no bus service unless you walk to Roldán.
