I have Community Chargers left to go out Sabadell on Friday the only one left will be Council Tax IBI but that's not due until June they have sent confirmation they have Amended Bank Account details but only get notification off Wise or show as Direct Debit when they actually take payment out.I was thinking I'd take risk and close Account with Sabadell next week.

Hi

I have closed my account with caixa bank remotely a year ago.

First start trough caixa app.

Go to your account and there is a section that gives you the option to start the process to request the closure of your bank account and wait for confirmation from administrator of your bank account.

This will be one of the evidence that you started the process of closing your bank account.

I also have sent him an email requesting my bank account to be closed.

The administrator of my bank account advised me to write a letter where I request the closure of my bank account (wrote the letter in English and Spanish) I signed with the date, I attached the letter to the email and send it to him.

After 2 days he confirmed by WhatsApp message that my bank account has been closed.

When I have checked my bank account to be sure it is closed, there was no where to be found.

But I had to insist a lot.

A month after,  I received a letter from caixa bank to my UK address that my bank account has been closed.

I hope this will help.

All the best

Marcel

Hi,

Thanks for posting this is really useful.  We also want to cancel our Caxia account as the online banking app is awful.  We are constantly being locked of the account which is a worry as have to keep a separate note on funds in the account so it is always topped up.  I'll contact my bank and find a more suitable option.

Hi

C.living solution has to do with charges based on new policies caixa bank adopted since October.

If you Google:what is c.living solution, you will find more useful information you need.

There one option in the Google search find, to download a document of 3 pages, about c.living solution charges.

Hope this helps

Hi Niki

You are welcome and wish you all the best.

We faced the same problems last but went to the bank where they told me I needed another app linked to the "main" banking app.

I let them do what was required and have not had any problems since and check my app daily to ensure no fraud on the account. Might be worth a visit

That's true but I didn't know the exact problem you have.

So here's some information.

Caixa bank has 2 apps connected to each other that you have to download, I have used those 2 at all times when need.

Those 2 are:main app and the verification sign in.

Any time when you perform a transaction or pay bills etc ,it will take you straight away to verification sign in system for you to approve the transaction, in this way, fraudulent transactions can be avoided.

Without you approving the transaction trough verification sign in system, the transactions will not be allowed to be completed.

Hope this helps

We have just closed our Sabadell account remotely. I sent an email to their info@ account and got this reply.

With regard to your email, we would like to inform you that you may close your accounts in two different ways. Either you visit your branch to sign the resiliation documents there or you can request to have the account closed by reaching our hotline. Should you prefer the latter, please, clear your account and call our land line number +34 93 520 2910.

When I called I was told to ensure the account was totally empty and no other products, e.g. insurance active. The agent then went through a series of steps, sending codes to my Sabadell app, etc. This closed online banking, then he sent an email to my registered branch, Los Alcazares, telling them to close the cash account. So in the end easy to do.

Hope this helps you.

Having just read your post, I checked my account at Caixa and I haven't been charged anything. Perhaps its the balance ? I have about 7000€ in the a/c. Could be free banking with a certain amount in the account. (Hopefully ! )

Thank you for your information so did they mention if you had to leave €40  to cover Quarterly chargers or was there no mention. I know if you have products with them your less likely to have Chargers, our account purely for Direct  Debits hence why the €40 charge
