Thanks for your response which has been the most sensible and helpful so far. how do we go about using our mobiles in in spain and do we need a contract or a card etc?

You can buy a mobile and have pay as you go or contract

Can't afford to buy one. what do i do then?

I bought a phone just for calls for 15 pounds and a sim card on payg for a tenner. Don't know about cost of phone with a contract. Maybe like UK when it can be "free"

To the original poster,  the key word when looking at the camposol housing market "REJUICED" you will find this in many of the adverts on & offline high and low quality, The market will pickup but it's a long way off for spain & France, Uk is slowly moving into a technical recession, retail sales,housing market ,lack of investment in the stock market does not help the uk funded Camposol property market....The euro zone is in an impossible place with all eyes on the uk, others waiting to leave the euro before it's collapse....

Take your time in buying, there will always be another one coming up for sell, don't feel pressured especially in this economic climate, 

If you really need to buy soon take advantage of the uncertainty.... 

Even with your new name Mr Edd..you are still talking crap...I have seen Villa's in my street on Camposol 3 beds 3 baths with pool sell within a couple of month's... if they are sensibly priced.. You also stated that most properties have reduced Price's ..the practice of saying it's reduce in price is a ploy by agent's and owners to foul you into thinking you are getting a bargain ...basically telling you not to ask for to much of the price.As for the UK housing market I have just moved in to a brand new 4 bed house that I had to wait 8 months to be built ..you cannot walk on to any building site sales office  anywhere in the UK and say I want that one now ...just like your post you will get laughed at as you know Bugger all ..house's sell within a matter of weeks in my home town what on earth do you know about the UK housing market...you are talking crap.

Really bad timing on buying the house old chap and a new one too...A sea of plasterboard,  timber that's still growing in your modern house is a really bad decision, but nothing like the feel of a modern housing estate (rabbit hutch) with dfs sofas made to fit such small rooms, houses made to a price and size of 2.4m x 1.2m and them recycled weetabix floor boards flexing under your feet. well done you....!!!!
