This post that was quoted has been deleted.

All we are asking for is that the people (aka the Council) finish the job they started, way back when.

That is not unreasonable.

I don't think the Council started Camposol.....it was Masa. The Council only adopt an area when it's finished to their standards. As other's have said on this thread, it shouldn't be a financial burden for all the tax payers in the Mazarron area to bail you out, you have to finance it yourselves.

Mazarron Council  kicked the developers off Camposol before it was finished. In doing so, the completion of the estate became their responsibility.

You are exactly right, the residents of Camposol need to start raising funds through community charges. Problem is nobody wants to pay and Camposol properyy is advertised as free of community fees / charges.

I don't think so. Masa were up to no good before they even dug any soil at Camposol, and the early adopters who bought off plan had nothing but trouble right from the start. Nothing to do with Council!

Your community needs to get together, and that means 100% and finance the remedial work yourselves to Council standards, but the chances of getting 100% support is very slim. People want the cheap houses but complain when the area is unadopted....you can't have it both ways!

I bought off plan on B before there was a single road or property on B side. I was assured the roads and services would be in place before building was allowed to start as this was statutory requirement. The council should have enforced this but MASA backhanders ensured they got away with it.

It's everything to do with the Council !!

They were the ones that gave the permissions to build and they were the ones that were overseeing everything.

Irma44 and Gordy, -Please stop pontificating about things you so obviously know nothing of; and telling us Camposolers what to do when you don't even live here.  When you know nothing about a subject Just keep quiet !

I know I've only purchased last year in the great community known as Camposol. I understand there is historic issues the residents would like sorting out, before a Community of Owners is set up - these will not be resolved by the council as they've stated they will only look and maintain the public and not private roads - it is a start that Camposol have been given a budget of 500,000 euro's.

On the CRA website there is a meeting in the Town Hall on 12th mar 20 - apparently on the agenda is Community of Owners, the CRA are not going to attend, they would also like donations for their "Note: We have had to pay some of the lawyers for advice and it is costly. Should you wish to make a donation you can via PayPal – [email protected]"

Extract from the CRA website "However, a meeting has been scheduled with the Town Hall for March 12th to which the CRA has been invited with only one item on the agenda CoO’s. Because of all the other outstanding issues and the need to fully engage with a legal body versed in these issues we will not be attending this meeting on the 12th March 2020."

I will not be donating to a futile course.

For Camposol to move forward - residents and non-residents have to get together and enquire about the Community of Owners, then hopefully we can all move forward and in the right direction. Yes I understand some owners are totally against this and having to spend more monies - until it is investigated on how much it's going to cost; all owners are in the dark. It is about time someone took the bull by the horns and started the procedure into the Community of Owners set up - my thinking it should be started by residents and not the non-residents that should investigate this, on the understanding that they live full time on Camposol full time and not part time.
