I would not purchase a property on this part of sector c.

Parts of upper C are fine we had our property surveyed, plus we had discussions with a reputable builder to establish if the property and the plot were okay.

No habitation certificate but I doubt very much if the government are planning to bulldoze all the homes without them so ignore the negative comments around this.

We have also lived on D sector again our property and plot were fine in every way but unfortunately our friends down the road had subsidence and Masa offered them another Villa.

Take your time to look around before you commit to anything and if in doubt ask on the forum again

Hi please can you tell me which parts of D were affected thanks Bev

Hi Golly G

Please don't get too caught up in the negative stories you may hear or read regarding Camposol.

There are some issues with subsidence but  only on a couple of streets (as far as I know upper c) and a few areas on D which are prone to flooding but given how big Camposol is the majority do not have subsidence issues!. I bought on C1 last year and have no regrets, that being said I paid for a structural survey (as I would do buying any property) This did highlight some building issues however it was down to the seller to agree to the costs of the work to be done. In my case 10,000 euros was held back by the solicitors for the work . Surveyor also employed someone to test the soil - No subsidence!  So please do get a survey which could potentially save you money and importantly give you peace of mind , also ensure you have a decent solicitor. Please also remember only sector A has been adopted by the council so you will find a lot of roads not in a good condition (but probably no worse than the roads in the uk!)

Best wishes

Hi Nessy I have sent you a message not sure how that works so dont know if you got it or not. Many Thanks Bev

Hi Golly G, I am going to look at a property in C1 next week.  I note you have now been there 4 years.  Can you please let me know if you are still happy in Camposol and any issues you can make me aware of.  I will definitely be having a survey carried out on the property.

Hi there,

I think your comment was meant for me. .I still have my property on C1 and am still so pleased I bought here. Ours is a holiday home and at the moment we are not visiting as much as we would hope, but that is due to circumstances. When we do come out there is work to do first before we can relax, whether it it be cleaning, painting, gardening, but I see it in line with any house that may have been left unoccupied.  I guess it depends on your circumstances?, if you are moving out as a resident I think you will be fine as being there full time you can keep on top of things, but if its a holiday home be prepared for the expense of gardeners ,cleaners, key holder or you will have to deal with certain issues on arrival. I couldn't be happier with my neighbours, whilst I am not there they are friendly and keep me in the loop if any problems arise, plus they are an extra pair of eyes to keep my place safe. Also on a final note consider modes of transport, it really is too hot to walk to sector B/A in the height of summer, if you have transport no problem. C1 is quiet but still close enough to the golf club house or for short drive  to the commercial centre/sector A. Please message me if you want and good luck with your viewing, definitely get a survey too as a way of securing your investment xx
