€40 a week electric????

What you running? No way is these figures correct.

4 bedroom villa here with aircon throughout and pool. In the summer my electric is @€100 per month. I suggest you use iberswitch to get you the cheapest provider.

Bhamoggy...how much do you spend in the winter on electric when you are trying to keep yourself warm ...I have a Neptuno 3 beds 3 bathrooms Aircon throughout ( can't run anymore than 2 AC units at a time otherwise it trips the electric drawing to many amps. ) + 9x4 swimming pool...the electric for the swimming pool on its own comes to €2 per day ...my pool has a 1kw motor and runs on and off for 5 hrs per day ...and I haven't got 4 cars either..I only have one that cost 4 times as much to buy in Spain compare to the UK.

Easily and I wouldn’t mind betting in 3yrs time you’ll still have 20k + in the bank

Frequentflyer, you are correct. Just to be realistic, €150 is not going be enough. As mentioned sarcastically, if I don't drink, or smoke, only eat at home, and properly go on an everlasting diet, then €150 might be enough.

In honesty, hear me people, please note, €150 is not going to be enough.

Agree with you Gloria I’m living on much less than 15000 per year and married and able to run 4 cars and have 3 dogs and no credit cards or mortgage and would say 10000 is a more realistic figure. This does not include any holidays or much eating out.

Why do you need 4 cars.

Frequentflyer, different car is used for different reasons. We have 3 cars in my own household, 2 are used frequently, the 3rd is used very very very infrequently.....it belongs to my wife😂

The EHIC is valid for up to 5 years. Check your EHIC is still valid before you travel. You can renew an EHIC up to 6 months before the expiry date, but any time left on the card will not be added to your new card.

We don't know what will happen after end of Dec 2020 due to the Brexit, and also to whether the present benefits that we all enjoy at the moment will still be in place. We don't know whether there is going to be a deal or no deal. 😥. It makes you wonder what hand Brexit is going to deal out to us all. Brexit is full of uncertainties at the moment.
