IBI.for a large 3 bed 3 bath detached villa with pool is €420 per year ....for a small 2 bed the IBI is around €250 per year...the various gardening. ( volunteer) groups keep Camposol tidy ..the flower's are paid for from donations via a weekly bucket collection... Mazarron council collect more than 1 million EU per year IBI from the residents ..and will not pay for street cleaning or street lights ... Mazarron council do nothing for Camposol other than take take take from Camposol .
Is your budget including tax/legal costs etc? Rough estimate is to add 10% so £45k you would be looking at property around £41k or €45k which is a bit tight for 2 beds. I think allow another £4k and you should find plenty to choose from on C or D sector 😀

You're been cautious which is wise but not scare. A friend of mine, single, made a trip to Spain and bought a flat in Alicante on the spot! She inspired my husband and I and here we are and loving it. We bought in Murcia, cost of living more affordable for a fixed income retirees. We're from the US. We came here for quality retirement life. Be encouraged, check around, read other people's stories and see how you feel afterwards. It's a huge Universe. Got to explore bits and pieces little by little. Next thing you know you will feel so free you won't know what you was scared of in the first place! The folks in Camposol are so helpful and wise. It's a good thing to pay attention to what they got to say as well. Best wishes!!!!!

Hello all, looking at the forum I am now scared to death!

seems very grey.
Whilst I am not spending a fortune I do not want to risk finding I own a house that doesn't actually belong to me.
I thought I would be safe with the terraced chalets as most are lived in.
Any thoughts are welcome.
Thank you!
Hi I have a fiesta on D sector and yes it has its deeds. My kids have become bored of going to the same place for almost every holiday so I’m putting it on the market.
It’s a 2 bedroom fiesta style with jacuzzi on the roof and it’s next to a green area. I’m pretty sure it would come in on budget for you.
Please let me know if you are interested.
