Hi Dawn

Coincidentally,  I’ve just joined today & made my first post from a very wet ( rained so much my cellar is flooded)  & grey  Lancashire. I’m  also looking at Murcia in the hope of moving to Spain before the year is out.  Whilst  I’m looking for more than just a better climate   the very thought of waking up throughout spring / summer to  blue skies & sunshine rather than Lancashire’s all to frequent grey skies   is enough to cheer me up!

Camposol has a great community spirit ..with everything that you will require for day to day living..you say you are both in your early fifties ...this could be a bit of a problem for you both as you will both need a private health insurance policy to stay in Spain..if you own a place outright yo...

...u could probably get by on €300 per week + what ever the private health insurance costs you ...€300 per week would put food on the table and pay your utility bills ...if you intend going out socializing / eating /drinking /running a car / maintaining your property then you will need a minimum of €400 per week eating / drinking out is marginally cheaper ... buying food in the Spanish supper markets is sertainly no cheaper than the UK... when and if you apply to become a resident you will need proof of income  especially if you are a early retiring... don't let what I am saying you put you off ..I dare say someone will say you can live like a king on €100 per week .. good luck with that .

€300 a week! I would be interested to know what that goes on. We can live comfortably on €700 a month. We eat healthily as do our two cats. We run a car, buy stuff for the house and garden. Pay the bills- we are not wasteful with water and electricity etc though. We don’t, of course, go out every night, but then if you want a drink you can’t go out in Camposol unless you risk drink driving or live within easy walking distance of the bars!!

Hi

Thank you for your honest input, I myself wondered how on earth it cost 300€ per week?

Regards

Dawn

Have a look at the (Epat in Mazarron) videos . These videos are far more informative than the 60 second clip that was shot five years back on place in the sun...the TV program have filmed on Camposol atleast 4 times over the years.

Many thanks for the tip

Regards

Dawn

Well we’ve been doing it for a year. My son had just started working when the lockdown started so still waiting for the life of luxury you obviously enjoy!! 🤣

And you have been talking absolute crap for year as well 😂.what I can't understand is that people are actually believing you ...BOY are they in for a big learning curve listening to people like yourself...you have been on this forum many a time asking people how they stop the damp and keep a Neptuno warm ...I will let you into a not so big a secret you have got to turn them electric heaters on that you have to warm the bedrooms up 😁 but of course you won't be able to do this if you are trying to live on €700 = £641 per month...I for one would not like your life style ...life in Spain is for living .

We don’t have central heating, but used electric heaters last winter. It would appear, however, from your response, that you are not a very pleasant or polite person.
