Hi Dawn we're also hoping to buy in Camposol.  Firstly to use as a holiday home and eventually retire.  Can you tell me where you managed to watch it on a place in the sun. I've searched everywhere and can't find it. Many Thanks

You Tube - Expat in Mazarron and Otherworld properties,( I think )  both on youtube

Good Luck.

We are not residents and do not intend to be. We expect to continue to use our villa as a holiday home for as long as the rules allow, understanding they could change after Brexit

However, based on the above, we still believe we will only require normal travel insurance and that full health cover is only required for residents only ...

...

Are we correct in this logic...?

As a non-resident you can visit for up to 90 days at a time and up to 182 days total in a year. In which case any healthcare needs would be covered by the medical aspects of your travel insurance and also (until December this year) by your EHIC. It's not clear what will happen post-Brexit with the EHIC.

However, the FCO currently continues to 'advise against all but essential travel worldwide' for UK citizens, which currently renders travel insurance invalid (I checked).

Agree all insurance is currently null and void but expecting that to change when air bridges confirmed as open

However, just checked my Nat West  travel insurance package and although I can extend the cover to 90 days they are still not clear if Covid cover will be included or not. Apparently each underwriter makes their own call

Hoping to change my September departure for one closer to end of July based on everything I am reading

I've got flights booked for 12th July; and again in August,

I'm accepting that my travel insurance won't be valid, but if the airline cancels, they have to refund or 'voucher' me; and I have my EHIC for healthcare.

I can recommend Greg Trueman. He fitted our 1 key anti snap lock system and window locks and he has a new sash system. He is featured recently on expat in mazarron video with Shaun. Lovely guy. 24/7 very reliable. 247locksmithspain.com

Please let me know where you’d find health insurance for 120 a month? You need one suitable for residencia which needs to be completed before end of the year or correct me if I’m wrong will cost a fortune once U.K. leaves EU. We are 49 and 59 and pay nearly 200 a month for health insurance. I...

...f moving to live you need to look at requirements for residencia as I obviously don’t know your circumstances. I would say 1000/1200 a month you can live comf

There are several posts on here referencing ASSA and DKV as providing policies for this amount - I'm sure it varies with the amount of cover. existing conditions, etc...

We used Euronics based on Camposol B  for our air con. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable? They gave us a list of units and manufactures and costs. They came to our house and measured rooms to work out power requirements for each room.
