Anastasia, if you don't drive you will be pretty much stuck on the resort which is shame, I have a Villa on MMGR and it is a lovely resort. It would be a shame not to visit the many lovely beaches about 20-25 mins by car. Los Alcazares is about 10 mins by car. There is a bus to Torre Pacheco but the last one back is 1pm. In July and August it doesn't run at all. TP is not the most attractive town. Taxis are expensive. You should also check out community fees as they can be substantial. The Boulevard apartments are technically not part of MMGR. Community charges will be much cheaper. Agents may tell you if you buy on the Boulevarx you can use the many small pools dotted around the apartments on MMGR but you can't, they belong the owners. On the resort there is a pool which is open to the general public and is very crowded in the summer months. It can be used if you buy a drink. It closes mid Sept. The hotel will charge you €15 each to use their pool if it is not busy.
