I am a freelance journalist looking for any information on the arrest of a 72-year-old British male who is understood to have been detained on the Sierra Golf complex on 15 January.
It is a sensitive matter and the man´s name will not be published nor will those of anyone who can assist (unless they wish to do so).

He hopefully will be extradited back to the uk to answer the horrendous crimes he is being charged with. Best liase with authorities not a forum for information

He is being held in a Madrid prison awaiting extradition. In order for me to liaise with the British authorities I need the man's name, which is not being afforded to me by the Spanish Guardia Civil or Policia Nacional.

There is must a good reason for the Guardia and National Police not to give you this information.
As he was arrested under an International Arrest Warrant on behalf of Interpol Uk it is obviously a very sensitive situation, a similar situation airside on Camposol about 15 years ago.
I am quite sure the British authorities, are aware of the persons name and details, and if they considered it necessary to furnish you with this information they would.
