We are looking to buy a property in the murcia area.  We like the idea of a golf property because good value and the security they have. We are both 49 we don't play golf but we like the pools and the bars and restaurants in the resorts. We would like one with bars and restaurants and not to far from a village or a town. Any advice would be appreciated 🙏 thank you

There are some lovely properties in this area. HR is a lovely, secure golf resort and is well maintained. The village of Sucina is lovely. Enjoy!

La Torre has a reasonable amount going on, compared to some of the other golf resorts; but its still a drive to anywhere else.

I would also suggest you investigate Roda Golf Resort, as that's a better fit for being near other places with a range of restaurants, etc. - its walking distance from the Mar Menor and all the amenities in that area.

One key thing to check when considering buying on a golf resort is the maintenance / community fees, as they can be relatively high due to the cost of security, maintaining the public areas, etc.

Hope this helps!

Mar Menor Golf Resirt has everything you need and is 7 minutes from the beach at Los Alcazares and 5 minutes from the town of Torre Pacheco. The Boulevard had lots of bars and restaurants a feretaria, Beaty salon and much more check it out!

Before we purchased we rented on Mar Menor Golf, La Torre Golf and Roda Golf.

This will give you a feel of what you want.

we decided to purchase on Roda golf for many reasons.

Piece and tranquillity locality to beach (20 mins walk) and vast Restaurants down adjacent to hotel 525 and beyond, locality of several large supermarkets, yes security and the coexistence rules, the maintenance of the complex is fantastic and has a continuous improvement attitude.

A new sports complex has been agreed to be built.

We too are non golfers, but when our children where younger it have us piece of mind knowing the roads where very safe to ride their bikes.

Even a ten min bike ride to beach fir a cocktail and tapas is enjoyed by all.

Although I sound biased, it works for us, but not everyone so as I suggest rent first, it’s a small price to pay for your future.

Any further info, give me a shout.

Hope that helos

Yes we visited a lot of them and found Hacienda Requilme the best  by far. All apartments though so if you are looking for villas you might need to consider el Valle for instance

Hi , my daughter and I recently went to the Murcia region for the exact same thing.  After visiting a lot of golf resorts and viewing a lot of properties we settled for Hacienda Riquelme golf resort in Sucina.  Yes the communal fees are high but you do get a lot for the money.  The security , underground secured parking, the standard of the apartments and the choice of 19 pools we just decided this is what ticks our boxes. The small town of Sucina is just a five minute drive which offers you most things you need.  The Balsicas train station again is a short drive away and you can get to Cartagena,  Murcia city , Madrid and Barcelona.  I wish you the best of luck in finding your dream property . 👍

Hi, In the near future I am looking at moving to Costa Calida and have been looking at la Torre golf resort. I am looking at buying my own place and a couple of apartments to rent out to provide income. Is La Torre a good investment for rental opportunities or am I better looking elsewhere?
