You will also need your NIE but other than that, nothing apart from the funds to pay for the vehicle which we transferred by Wise from UK to our Spanish bank and then did a bank transfer to the dealership.

Given this was all happening around Christmas time, the only delay was the time it took for the car to arrive from Madrid to Cartagena.

We had no problems.

Did find that car insurance here was more expensive than we were paying in UK, but then we were only paying just over £100 fully comp which was extremely cheap compared to the "average".

Plane parking they are called, just google that name plus Alicante or Murcia and they will come up,great service and car washed, but you must give at least 72 hours notice, but google left hand drive cars Basingstoke as they have tons off cars some with European plates still on, mine had Spanish ...

...plates, and they did a Uk mot to make sure it was legal while in Uk, and use the AA breakdown as green flag won’t come out to foreign registration cars, I needed a new battery as car sat in front garden for ages due to covid then got permission to take it on ferry to spain, and company in camposol A did all the reregesting  in Mazarrón.
