Well sorry you don’t live up to your name. Clearly a glass half empty person. I suffer with depression (not to mention COPD, arthritis etc like lots of others I expect), But I’m trying to do my best under the circumstances. Not sure what you’d like people to tell you really....

Well my son did the right thing and went legal getting his autonomo and accountant/gester in place. So now he can’t work they’re still taking his tax and their fees putting him overdrawn. What are they going to do next? Put him in jail?

Dot wanting anyone on here to tell me anything. I am over here as much as possible due to severe arthritis which is far better over here but not sure will be able to be here much at all soon

I am by no means the worst off but that does not make me feel any better that there worse off than I am

I have had arthritis for 40 years since motor bike accident aged 25 and consider myself lucky to still move as I do but the effects of the lockdown will cause more pain in my mind than I care to think about

Could follow you with depression soon

Do you think that the lockdown is the wrong approach.....?

From a global perspective and for the most benefit to society most, if not all, countries have subscribed to the lockdown as the best way to reduce and minimise the impact of the virus

Of course there are going to be people for whom this is not ideal, however, each government is doing what it can to cover the various conditions that might become worse due to the lockdown

Remembering that this is a global pandemic with no known cure the obvious way to proceed is to try and save and protect the majority

I appreciate that may sound harsh but personally I fully understand what is being proposed by governments worldwide.

No approach or solution is going to be perfect until a vaccine is found so what should governments do...?

Personally I thought and still think the UK intended the herd immunity but pressure changed their approach. Sweden have not locked down and theirm results are no worse than the average and better than a lot.

They may be only weeks away from achieving herd immunity and the main thing that will put them in a good place ~(in my opinion) Is that when the second wave hits (not if as it will) they will then be in a good position whereas for everyone who locked everyione down the situation will likely be worse certainly no better as there will still be no immunity unless of course a vaccine is fast tracked which is very unlikely

With herd immunity that would need the elderly and vulnerable being very well looked after and shielded but in my mind massive deaths was totally unavoidable

Surely herd immunity would have meant more deaths than implementing a lockdown. I see, and agree, that the lockdown now means fewer cases to investigate to gather more information but how do you think the public would have reacted to deliberately doing nothing so more Guinea pigs could be used

Again, in my opinion, it comes down to choices and most governments felt reducing the number of deaths by implementing lockdown was the best way and probably morally correct

The whole medical and scientific community is working towards a vaccine and tests are already underway in the UK

Must admit that I am not convinced there will be a second wave providing the public follow the rules
