Try renting in the area of El Mojón, Lo Pagan, San Pedro del Pinatar or Santiago de la Rivera, all well connected and rent not so high. Well connected highways and roads from where you can check things out. Also, easy access to beaches, shopping, restaurants, cafés, and entertainment. Myself, I have nothing to offer for rent. Only a suggestion. Best wishes.

You can search rental properties through idealista.com or through Kings real estate El Mojón. So so many rental properties/to choose from. Pick an area or call them. Easy as 1 2 3.
King, Lorraine, is English. We bought through her. You don't have to buy through her but you can ask her about her rental properties. She knows Murcia province by hand. Most rentals very reasonable this time of the season! OK best wishes again. No pressure. Only trying to help.

John,
We thought it might be a good idea to consider renting for a while. We are, however, a little concerned that you ask if it needs doing up and offer your services. What is behind that?.

Hi rea it was just that you said you can't get in it for 6 months or more.
And if that was the case I maybe could have helped you out.
Sorry , hope I haven't offended you. I'm still looking and have to have a place to move into at the beginning of Feb.
Kind regards,John.
paraleja is free from 1st February..

John,
Don't worry about that, you have not offended. We have only stayed in the property once for a couple of weeks and it is perfectly habitable. There are some logistical concerns, though. We have the keys with us and no way of getting them to you. I feel that some form of agreement would have to be signed and, to that end either a real estate company or a solicitor would need to be involved. All of which would need us to be in Spain at some time before you want to occupy the property.
It looks as though that would not be possible from our end, so regrettably, we will have to back out. It seemed like a good idea at the time but it won't work and in that respect, we apologize for any wasted effort.
Let us have some way of contacting you because we have some ideas that involve work on the property and, if you get yourself set up, we may be able to put some work your way.
Kindest regards,
Rae
