Hi can you tell me if tma testing is acceptable for arrival back to UK and is it the same as a lamp test
I have had my test 20 euros for rapid antigen test (waited 5 mins collect on day)
Meets more than governments rates
It is
For the antigen test
The test has a sensitivity of 95.4% (our governments requirement 80%)
and a specificity of 100% (our governments requirement 97%)
with accuracy of 98.91%
https://cardiosalus.com/prueba-covid-murcia/
Easy to book online a test with lots of times to choose from.
Once I have landed in the UK and got thought with this test will let you know all OK
back in uk ok
Yes went from Alicante airport at checking in desk they wrote in the boarding pass. PCR Ok
At Gatwick airport at boarder control checked my antigen test and let me through
So the 20 euro antigen test worked.

This will probably upset some of the readers on this forum but the reason why the UK has had such a prolonged terrible situation with this pandemic is because our incompetent government has allowed millions of people to cross the UK borders since they first admitted Covid-19 was in the UK last March!
You can have any test going but they don't stop you from carrying or spreading the virus! The current farce with the South African strain now in the UK is because selfish people are circumventing the arrival process and bringing the virus to the UK. Residents of the UK who have been suffering lockdown for a year now face another spell of restrictions!
I wish we had a government with the guts to impose a closed border regime. Several countries around the world that did that are now benefitting from the strict short term measures taken at the beginning. The simple common sense message is to stay where you are, we don't want you here in the UK until it's over!

Get lost
I go away for the winter to stop catching chest infection and end up in the NHS hospital. I am saving the NHS and do not end up in
intensive care as have done in the passed, with a cold winter.
I go near no one, I have not got covid or passed it anyone

Like I said, my post will upset some on here. I would love to get away to my villa which I haven't been to since 2019. I returned to the UK in December 2019 and I went down with Pneumonia which they now tell me was Covid but cannot prove it. I've been in lock down here all this time and I cannot see the end of it until the whole world has had a vaccination (which I have now had)! Seeing the figures for travellers arriving in the UK really annoys me, it just prolongs the agony for everyone!
My post was general and not directed at any single person, but how do you know you haven't passed it on? It's impossible to tell without test and trace. People are travelling for purely selfish reasons and spreading this virus. No one can fly without coming into contact with people.
If people behave responsibly maybe we can control this global virus and then we can all enjoy our lives once again!

Everyone has to do what is best for them and everyone else.
Protecting the NHS and not being a burden on the NHS is what is best for everyone
So going away for winter, i left before the lockdown, when travel was still permitted.
If I had or have covid i would know about it.

Surely staying in your own country is protecting others as well as yourself? It's interesting that you went away for the winter but returned before winter is over. Believe me, I would have loved a break at my villa! You are entitled to your opinion of course, but your argument is floored by your actions. I don't want to get into anything personal, my objection to our borders being wide open is a general comment, which is endorsed by millions here who have been sacrificing their normal life for many months!
I hope you and all forum members remain safe until the vaccine is administered fully. In the meantime I would hope people remain where they are, for the sake of us all.
