Hard to say without knowing the size of the property!

Council tax is only about 20% of what you probably pay in the UK. However, purchase tax (the equivalent of Stamp Duty) is 8% - as opposed to 1-1.5% in the UK.

Electricity is a little more expensive than in the UK. Many properties don't have gas, so if you use electricity for heating then that's costly - but you won't need it for as much of the year as you do in the UK. However, if you have air-con, a pool pump, a heated pool, etc... then that's more comsumption & cost. Broadband, home insurance about the same as the UK.

Car tax is cheaper, fuel a little cheaper. Supermarket food prices are very similar to the UK, but beer & wine are a lot cheaper.

Hope this helps!
