Anyone thinking of renting a car from the Firefly base at San Javier Airport be warned that you might be ripped off for fuel when you return it. when I returned the car in July a member of staff went to the car park to check it out and when I got my final invoice I was ripped off for nearly half a tank of fuel!

I have contacted them but no response. Strangely enough I have rented from them at Alicante and couldn't fault them. I think the answer with all full to empty rentals is to fill the tank before returning it and insist you are present when they check it. I hire a lot of cars in Spain during the year and these 'rip offs' mount up!

Hi rma44, good advice. I've just booked a car with this company as we're heading back there soon. Will certainly watch out for this, thanks.
