Hi try Friends of Mazarrón they are a charity and very friendly with a good selection of dogs needing a new forever home

Steve

We recently adopted our handsome, fantastic 2 year old german shepherd dog (Happy) via Friends of Mazarron, from the pound near Mazarron. They have many dogs of different ages, breeds & sizes.

Best thing I've ever done!

Hi, we occasionally foster dogs from FMA. At the moment we've taken on a Jack Russell type dog whose owner was recently killed in an rta. Smashing little dog we think about 9yrs. Gets on well with ours and is house trained. Msg me, but I would want it to be done thro fma so they can do the checks. Regards Colin

Hi Colin ,

Thank you for your kind help and information.  We have decided to opt for Los infernos as its close to home.

May I apologise for being so slow in replying to all the kind people who volunteered information and advice but my smart phone packed up and , having gotten a new one yesterday, I'm still struggling with the technicalities " the joys of old age" !!

There is also dog rescue kennels here in Mula. We have looked after several dogs until they have found suitable homes. They have a website which will show photos of dogs currently in the kennels. Colitas y Bigotes, Mula.

We got our girl from Los Infiernos ,they were brilliant. They charge for having a dog but all jabs  ,speying etc is included . I think we payed 120 euros ,which I didnt think was bad after the jabs and speying etc .

Can I say thanks to everyone who's messaged information on adopting a dog. I've had trouble logging back onto the forum so my apologies for the delay.

I was very lucky to get a lovely dog from Los inferno's. He's proving to be ideal so far , is very gentle and loving. Nit what I started out to get being only 18 months old and medium size whereas I wanted small and old !! But I feel he chose me and left me not choice . The people at Los Inferno's were magic thanks again
