It may as well have been unless you live local, where I lived for 12 years it was either taxi, hire car or a friend, but you learn to cope

We also did not know the time tables had changed and waited 45 mins for a bus that never turned up.  We also wasnt on time to take the bus from airport to La Ribera. So taxi both ways. It's a shame having the additional costs means weekend visits are a thing of the past. We are going to Alic...

Sorry to hear this Gillian56. It's a good idea to check the timetables online just before you travel. They change all the time. I think I might end up hiring a car....back to Alicante next time!

Well, we take our first trip to Camposol this year on the 22nd and will be flying to Corvera as we cannot stand the 1.5 hour cab journey from Alicante

My feeling is that Corvera is still relatively new and they are waitring for more business to come their way. I know that the owners held presentations last year about Corvera and how it could become about 3 times the size of San Javier but they do need the airlines to make their commitments. Of course with the uncertainty lingering over Brexit this is going to take some time

Last week in the UK there were reports about how UK travel to Europe had declined and more and more people were travelling on the long haul flights so if passengers decrease, at least in the short term, then you can understand that Spain/Corvera would respond and reduce the bus journeys etc.

Anyway, hopefully things will go well and happy to respond after our trip if it may be on any benefit to anyone

Flying into Corvera for onward journey to Lo Pagan. We will be last flight arriving as far as I can make out. .....21.30-22.00ish - the 'ish' being code for Ryanair. Am I certain to get a taxi at that hour do you reckon?

The 'ish' with Ryanair means that you will arrive on time or early !!

The other day when I was at Corvera there were about 40 taxis however 10 days before that there were very few.

You would probably be better booking a taxi to make sure you have one.

The airport was quite busy the other evening with more kiosk type shops open.

They have also installed hundreds more seats in the departure areas.

Word of warning re the departure gates on the electronic boards.....they changed my gate 3 times in the space of an hour.

Had people going backwards & forwards in a right old panic.

Thanks a million!! Just a heads up though, I see this evenings flight from Dublin has been cancelled. I'm not sure Ryanair are getting bums on seats to Corvera with people preferring Alicante, so I have added issue of possible cancellation

Arriving 15th May and will post here re:how it pans out in the hope that info can be helpful. Thanks again.

..for sure!! Will need to wait though to be certain  that flight will depart if I'm to book a taxi. The bonus at the end of all this is a month in Lo Pagan

Thanks again

I think the french ATC are on strike again! Might be the reason for the cancelled flight from Dublin. I also believe Ryanair are struggling at Corvera. I noticed they had last minute seats available at the end of April (I was already in spain at this time) for £4.99 from Luton to Corvera. I've never seen seats to Murcia at this price. The price usually goes up at the last minute, not down!

Got it!! Some Dublin prices are very cheap alright. Our flight 15th is listed as full. Getting a taxi to Lo Pagan at 10pm next Wednesday is my only concern thanks for that.
