It's 24 hrs+ on the ferry, plus another day's drive from Santander / Bilbao down to Murcia -versus- an early morning channel tunnel crossing, then 2 day's driving down to, say, Narbonne, for a night in a hotel and then the next day to your destination. £200 return on the tunnel, £400 return fue...
