Generally speaking there is always a nice breeze in coastal areas. A previous poster recommended San Pedro del Pinatar and Lo Pagan and I would agree. Santiago de la Ribera/San Javier is nice too
You are in a Spanish community, good schools, crime free (well, maybe a bit of opportunistic crime but normal precautions are all that's needed).
You are only 45 mins from Alicante airport 35 mins. from Murcia International, it has all the major supermarkets, not too far to go to Cartagena or Murcia city, it's close to the motorway, good health clinics, dentists etc. a very good hospital nearby in San Javier.
Just 20mins drive will take you to the huge La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre, all the major sports, bar rugby, are catered for and all the coastal town on the Mar Memor are an easy drive away for variety, lots of good cycling lanes, the people are lovely, very warm and welcoming - I could go on and on.
But,there's always a downside and I find it's a bit quiet in winter months but if you have young children and get involved in the local community that would compensate for that & the same can be said of most of the coastal towns with the possible exception of Torrevieja which is nice to visit but too busy for us to live it but not far away if you need it. I like Sucina too but I've heard about flies in summer and it would be hotter. San P is very family oriented and children are always made a fuss of by the locals. I'm not a full time resident but we do spend most of the year in San Pedro, we're Irish so no problem with the 90 day rule.
I hope you will be encouraged by what I've written. If you need more specific information please feel free to ask and if I can help I'd be happy to.
