Bank transfer

Do you not have a Spanish bank account to pay it into? The reason I ask is that Wise is not covered by the FSCS (Compensation scheme should finance provider go bust). If you have a Spanish bank account my advice would be to pay it into there, and then transfer the money to Wise in Tranches of say 10,000 euros.  I use Wise myself regularly and although they are classed as safe, I would be wary of giving them such a large sum in one go.

Hi Steve thanks for your reply only have a Wise Euro account and a Wise UK attached.Yes I was aware they not regulated but I was going to try and transfer it out immediately.I used Wise to purchase property but wasnt sure the best way to do it from Spain when its completed.As if they transfer funds from Spanish Account will zi get better rate going into Wise rather Direclty to my UK bank account.

Hi Jan, you will get a better exchange rate (although very low at the moment ) and tranferwise/wise have been trading for many years and I really cannot see them going belly up 🙂

I am sure if there were any problems with the company the financial markets would be aware and there would be signs.
