Does anybody have any idea when the authorities will review and decide on the restriction of travel from Alicante airport into Mar Menor/Murcia.

It appears that the current restrictions on non essential travel extend to at least 6th January 21.  Is there a review before that date which could change the restriction from 7th Jan?

Who knows.....

The whole thing is really starting to get well out of hand both in Spain & in the UK.

Rules / guidelines / laws are changing on a daily basis so there is just utter confusion in both countries.

And the latest news ??

You can have a LAMP Test, a TMA Test or a PCR Test for travel to Spain.

You could not make it up.

Tests

I believe the rules are still the same in Spain, and very straightforward  "essential travel only"

If you live in Alicante region and wish to visit friends and family in the Mar Menor, you can do this from the 23rd December Until the 6th January, but you must be a Spanish Resident.

If you own a property and are a Spanish resident you can return to your home, if you are just holidaying the answer is unfortunately no.

The updates are broadcast daily on Murcia tv channel 7 or for national Channel 24 live.

It seems that most people here are respecting all the rules, mask wearing, social distasting, staying within there regions, but of course there are some people disrespecting what the government and regional authorities are saying,

However from what I have seen on English tv I know where I would rather be.

Transfer from Alicante or any airport is no problem, however you have to be a Spanish resident or have documentation stating it is essential travel.

Thanks for the comments.

From my understanding, as a non resident I cannot travel from Alicante to Sucina even though I have a one year house rental.

What do you think Erasor?

I will try to watch Adrian but it is painful sometimes lol

purely as a matter of curiosity,  friend told me that cyclists and exercise runners in Spain do not have to wear masks , us this true.  I'm pretty sure a police car that did a U-turn in front of me did so to follow a cyclist who'd just passed with no mask   this is probably on the wrong to thread , what can I say I'm old and non tech !!
