Do these car hire firms accept this policy as they usually want you to take on theirs and wont accept uk cover

Yes. They try and make you have theirs but you don’t have to. As long as you are covered. They may block an amount on your credit card if anything happens but you would claim it when you get home! My brother travels 6 times a year and had an incident but it was no issue at all.. they paid out straight away

Think he has been very very lucky,as they create such a fuss about  yr own insurance,Take money on your card then you have difficulty getting money back,they put up so many obstacles . Thanks for advice.

No problem. My friend also had two accidents and he had no issues either! At least in the U.K. it’s easier to understand the product you are purchasing.

Actually the shop is not usually open now due to ill health but you can either call them or email them.
