Yes I have seen these posts but As I have said did the poster speak Spanish to assume the police were being "arrogant" and "corrupt " I don't consider myself lucky, maybe I understand law enforcement and respect their proffesion

At 70 plus as I have said I have never found the police threatening and certainly not bullying. Perhaps you are not used too the Mediterranean culture which can include loud voices, arm waving finger wagging in an every day situation.
And yes I do consider myself a lucky one, living in a country that accepts so many British immigrants with welcome arms

Eduardo, Hi ! We have lived legally in several parts of Spain for last 35 years, and our few encounters with local police have always found them to be helpful and friendly. Not a single problem.. And I am 85 plus !!

Yea definitely' I think the odd one or two were bullied at school' you cannot reason with the odd one. But generally I have found them to be courteous and helpful.
