Taxes
If you only have a holiday home here and do not rent it out so you have taxes to pay. We are not residents and our income is in uk
You need to pay non-residents' tax. This is based on the cadastral value of your property (which is shown on your council tax invoice (IBI). Currently, the tax is calculated at 1% of the cadastral value and then 24% of this figure. For example, a property with a cadastral value of €100,000, tax is calculated at 1% of €100,000 (being €1,000), then 24% of €1,000 = €240 tax payable.
Hope this helps!
Thats great thanks can you pay this from a uk bank account or do you need a spanish one?

If you use https://spanishtaxforms.co.uk/ they will pay it for you. Just submit the form and John will contact you. He charges approximately £35 to complete the form for you and adds another supplement to pay in Spain for you. I highly recommend him. He done all my non residents tax before I became resident.

Hi
In response to your question.
Yes you have to pay non resident tax. Best to get your Solictors to sort out the paperwork.
Spain being Spain, the taxman assumes that as you have a holiday home, you automatically rent it out and they will charge you accordingly.
Hence getting a Solictor to sort it out for you.
Hope that helps
