Hi, in or around Mula, is there a shop where I could buy herbs and spices such as tumeric powder, ginger, spirulina etc?  I think the Saturday food market may sell these items, but I'm wondering about a back up option.  Thanks.

Hi.  When securing temporary residency visa the NLV, how long do you have to receive shipped personal/used household goods without any tax/duty charges? Also, can items be stored in Spain (eg in a storage facility rather than your home) for an indefinite period without any tax/duty charges (obviously there would be storage costs) ?  Any other advice on this matter would be most helpful! Hi, bit of a strange question, but thought I'd give it a go! As we are non-resident and have gaps in our time in Spain, is there anyway car insurance can be stopped/restarted so we only pay for when we visit?  There's also the question of the car being insured whilst parked at Alicante Airport with our parking provider.  Thanks.

Can anyone recommend a reliable garden maintenance company to look after a small garden in Mula? We have 3 palm trees which need to be sprayed and trimmed once a month and general weeding and pruning etc.

Hi, I know this is a long shot, but is there anywhere I can look up/find out how much Community Fees are on different housing/golf developments in Murcia and Valencia?  We've not got anywhere in particular in mind at the moment, but I don't want to start a search and find out the fees are ridiculously high when we can only spend 6 months of the year in the property.  Alternatively, does anyone already know of housing/golf developments that do have relatively cheap Community Fees - we are thinking of ground floor apartments and would class 50 euros or less a month 'cheap'.  Thanks in advance :)

Hi, I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction  - I'm tearing my hair out with frustration!!  Some months ago, various improvement works were carried out in our street, including the installation of new electricity/telephone cables whilst we were in the UK.  The new cables have been attached to our property (not an issue) but the old ones are there - hanging off the house, a real tangled mess, cut through and tied to our window security bars and are, quite frankly, an ugly, dangerous mess.  I've contacted the council a few times who've just ignored me. What can I do!  

Hi.  I've searched both the internet and this website to try and find an answer regarding the NLV.  I understand it works on a 1 + 2 + 2 = 5 year process and understand that you cannot be out of Spain for more than 1 year in total during the 5 year NLV period.  If you exceed the 1 year period - for example in year 3 - would you have to go right back to the beginning and start the 5 years all over again (assuming your NLV application got accepted for the second time) or do you just go back to the start of that specific period (so in this case year 2 as you would have already 'banked' the initial 1st year period).  We are by no means planning to exceed the 1 year allowed over the 5 years, but have to consider what would happen if we were unexpectedly called back to the UK for a longer period of time than the 1 year.  Hoping this makes sense!!
