Thanks Dave, my name is Anthony and I’m very grateful for your feedback. As you say Urmosa  have mentioned things they hope to do in the near future and I have heard that Urmosa not very good with after sales. You are right about council tax, here it’s  £1,500 per year.

You have been given great and truthful advice Sierra golf has been going to be an 18 hole course for at least 10 years but since it was marked out ownership changed and the expansion came to an abrupt end though the 18 holes were marked out but the cost is huge to expand so 2 x round is the 18 holes, it is like driving down a no through road with nothing except empty properties and a golf. Course at the end the best bit is value for money costs are cheap and discounts good due to the time on market balsicas is the nearest town but realistically the coast is your nearest shopping and social centre shame you did not rent for 6 months on Sierra golf then make a decision personally I would try for a rental purchase that gives you chance to try before you buy

On a positive note any developments with guys like Dave are a plus. What a character. However if you do visit him please bring your own mug. In terms of actual advice me and my wife looked at all the golf courses in Murcia and settled on La Torre Golf due to the actual development. This included immaculate gardens, 24 hour security, fantastic open golf course and shops and bars. Be careful though as this all comes at a price. Our monthly community fees were in the region of €180. We found some very well priced properties. I’d also talk to Iain Mitchel from Selling Sunset for honest clear advice. Find him on the internet. Also consider what may go wrong. We had to leave Spain for personal reasons and having properties on a well known and established resort made selling easier. Mark.

This comment was a while ago. Did you buy there, somewhere else, are you happy with the outcome. I've been looking at property there and prices are good but build qaulity sounds an issue. I don't want holiday home, I want to move permanent. Any advie would be welcome. TIA

Yes we did buy here, been here almost two years now and settled in well. It’s a great community here and we’ve made some good friends, so no regrets so far. 👍

Thanks

There are a couple of bars on sight that have quiz nights and other functions and sometimes a local band plays in one of them. You do need access to a vehicle here though, as even the local village is too far to walk. We are enjoying it so far.

Hola     the other day  I drove through a puddle of "mud"   that for a second  blinded me    so I clipped a kerb stone   then a blow out

A neighbour stopped   asked if I was OK    (the wheel had stuck to the hub)   then gave me a lift home

the next day   I had almost finished putting the spare on    when another couple in a Land Rover   (I did not know) stopped and asked if I was

OK                  so thank you all

These are the sort of People that live on  the Estate       plus there are three  "pubs"    Dave from Manolis     then the Blue Palm   (both do quiz nights   so on)    also do not forget the   Golf Course   club house

Good to hear there are residents like that but may I ask why you did not call your insurance company to arrange for a grua to come and fix your wheel?
