I've walked and driven through the area only on a few occasions, maybe half a dozen at the most. In my opinion, it looks like a large private estate specifically built for British migrants or holidaymakers; if that's the kind of place you'd like to live whilst in another country that's fine. But ...

...that's not for me I prefer to live or stay amongst the Spanish. Eat their food, drink their liquor and speak their language or try with great difficulty in my case. Try looking at  Los Alcázares on the Mar Minor, it is a wonderful place, nice properties, eateries of various descriptions, great beaches for the family, palm tree-lined seafront/promenade to stretch your legs or ride a bike. It's a great little place and not too busy except on market day when folks do come in to buy an array of things from food and clothing to pots n pans or tools for the keen DIYer.

Quite clearly that Camposol is not your cup of tea. There is freedom of speech wherever you are, even though your shallow opinion is allowed here. Do not rubbish something that you know very little of as it may backfire like the silly comment that you have made. We forgive you and wish you frequent less on Camposol as we only entertain like-minded and good people.

We spent a weekend house hunting on Camposol and bought our ideal property in 2 days. We were driven around and obviously shown the amenities on the commercial sector but actually stayed in a hotel by Mazarron port

The Monday we were due to visit solicitors turned out to be a local bank holiday so we had the day to ourselves. Totally fell in love with Camposol and the port...

...

Everyone is different but just driving around I do not believe allows you to get the feel of the place or how friendly the locals

For us, this was a perfect purchase which we do not regret

Nice one.

Welcome aboard.

Bang n,

Never knock what you do not know.

We have proved ourselves to be great, just look at this very moment, in time of need Camposol shines.

We will return to normal shortly, and once again all enjoy ourselves out and about.

A fantastic community which will thrive, and buyers will flock to, Camposol cannot be put down, or critisised any more, as we have proved ourselves.

Have you been to Puerto Mazarron? Isla Plana? Bolneuvo, Good restaurants, lovely beaches. Camposol is like many urbanisations in Spain. With people of many nationalities, so not just confined to Brits.

I understand the Mar Menor and surrounding areas will take sometime to recover from the previous storms and the pollution the beaches suffered, so probably not the best place to have an holiday at the moment....

...

Camposol is not perfect but there is a good community spirit, and it offers you a reasonably priced base to enjoy the surrounding areas including the lovely views on Camposol. We have owned 3 properties in Camposol starting from 2000 buying off plan and living here from 2003 all of the houses have been of been of reasonable build quality.

The roads need finishing, but we also have a property in the UK on a new estate and many of the roads still need to be finished 3 years on.

I think driving through, walking around the area a few times doesn't provide you or anyone else with an accurate picture of Camposol.

Agreed,

We have a great community, and everything will improve further in time.

I don't understand the need to bring freedom of speech into the subject or accuse me of being shallow. It's just how I see the area, but hey if you're happy on Camposol then I'm happy for you. It's cool😎

We respect your answer, but look carefully at the future, Camposol has proved itself through tough times, and even now.

No problems here, yet else where there are big problems both with weather destruction, and support.

This is a tough area that the community will not allow to be hurt.

We are a fantastic support to each other, and that is worth millions, more so in the future as the world suffers.

Sharon 55 why are you on the Camposol forum when you clearly don't like the place ...I really can't understand why the likes of yourself are bothering to comment on Camposol a place that you just don't like... before I bought on Camposol I looked at many other locations ( yours as well ) ..and choose Camposol as the best option for my needs..now the last thing that would enter my head would be to go on one of the other locations forums that I didn't like and start slagging it off ...if the truth be known the reason people like yourself that don't live on Camposol come on our forum is to chat with your fellow British expats ...that are always willing to give you advice and help this is something that buying in a mainly Spanish area doe's not give you...so take my advice if you want to continue posting on this friendly forum don't start slagging off a place that you basically know nothing about.

It is not an accusation, but an observation. Enjoy life and enjoy Spain. God bless you ...............
