Bit late now but many things were said during the referendum campaign. We all know about the misinformation and lack of in formation which formed the debate. But there are two words during this entire debate that were never uttered by anyone the length and breadth of Britian. They were NORTHERN and  IRELAND. This goes some way to explaining the attitude that prevailed and  still prevails to Ireland in general. Are there any politicians with the imagination to solve this problem. And it will have to be solved.

The E U, are indeed bullies there are States in Europe that have never liked the U K. France being one of them, the French seem to have a big chip on their shoulder. But there are others as well

ALOT of generalities in that Col72, I respect your opinion and expect you have evidence to back it up.

We hear that kind of unsubstantiated stuff from the Leave side all the time, with no detail or evidence, and it's lapped up by people who need to think for themselves.

Let us deal in facts and we might have some hope.

Just because as they say the British aren't paranoid it doesn't mean that they aren't out to get them. Especially the French. And maybe the Germans. And you can't trust those Italians either!!!!

The UK government has officially announced that freedom of movement will end ..on day one of the 31st ...they have also stated that all EU citizens are welcome to apply for a visa to live in the UK .. apparently you will need a permanent job offer that pays at least £34,000 per year ...that Big Red Bus might have made a mistake by saying £ 350 million ... when it should have said £ Billions apparently that is the true hidden figure that the UK tax payers are getting screwed for by free loader's from within the EU ...on a yearly basis.

I wonder where the figures you think should be on the bus come from. It is worth noting that the majority of immigrants going into Britain are none EU. And this will continue after Brexit. When the EU citizens stop coming there will be a skills shortage.

The EU were prepared to accept a perfectly reasonable deal but its due to the idealogical objection to the backstop it has been rejected by Our parliament - and to a great extent that was due to the influence of the DUP who prop up the government. If you want to look for unreasonable, the disproportionate influence of the DUP is the place you need to start! Ironically a No Deal means a hard border in Ireland which they are even more anti 🙄

"free loaders from the EU".....not sure what you mean by that but if you mean immigrants from the EU on social security benefits or using the NHS then these are UK laws. It's not the EU's rules only that the EU insist that citizens of EU origin are treated the same as native citizens. I used to work with the employment service and can tell you that the freeloaders were not EU citizens, they were British nationals playing a system that the govt were trying to change which didn't go do well. I really despise racist generalisations which do not bear up to scrutiny. While we are at it, how many Brits are here without residency and using their ehic card claiming they are on holiday when in fact they live here more than 6 months a year. I despair with these gammony comments. I had close contact with European immigrants and I can honestly tell you that all of them that I knew had a really good work ethic and came to the UK to work not to sponge. You just sound like a brexiteer racist.
