If it is a nail or a screw in the tyres you can buy a tubeless repair kit off eBay about £10.00 and repair it yourself follow the instructions it would also a good idea to buy a air compressor you can plug into you cigarette lighter socket save your self and friends a fortune

Enjoy John

Tubeless tyre sealant is a great 'temporary' solution to a puncture but only lasts between 2-6 months depending on weather, the hotter it is, the faster it deteriorates unfortunately!

Would be interesting to see my Wife using that kit. Or removing the wheel and walking to the nearest garage!🤭 Depending where puncture is it could be not even possible to fix it.

Most new cars supplied with compressor anyway. What I was saying that garages not necessarily have exact tyre thus selling set of two and being lazy to even look for the matching tyre.

Maybe your wife can’t but other wife’s can and if it’s saving you buying a tyre just cause the garage says you need one then you have to buy two for the sake of a £10.00 kit you must have too much mo

The sealants are fine for getting you home, but the tyre should be plugged and vulcanised if the hole is suitable.

It really is not worth risking a tyre failure - imagine a blowout with the family onboard at 120kph! Always buy the best tyres you can afford, and if you buy a top make you should find it easier to get a duplicate to keep them matched on the same axle, rather than some dubious chinese import that you will never see again. Remember also that tyres can become failures at ITV if they go out of date - a tyre dealer will be able to tell you when yours were made, and when they should be replaced.

As I said the kit off eBay is the same as what garages use if you are confident to use it

Thanks guys, I took a look at the law re tyres, definately no mention of brand that I can see,  itv seem to pass on tread regardless of make, as long as it's legal, I asked the crowd that quoted 190€ for the law regarding same brands, their reply was a recommendation but looked like legislation. I've got another company taking a look, hopefully common sense will prevail.

Ok, but I did.     I'm telling the original poster about tyre sealant. It's good but limited.  Good luck with your repair kit though.
