Hi, I have always used TorfX, never had a problem, rates appear competitive and easy communication via phone if required. App transfers all good. I bank with Halifax who also do direct transfers from your App but the rate is always lower

I have used currencies direct also on many occasions and found them amazing and good rates. Check with your bank as Sabadell make a charge I believe of 18euros every time you pay money on. If you are paying it into say a builder or solicitors account etc. the transfer is free. You can also change a large amount when rate is good and is held in your wallet until you want to transfer. Would highly recommend them.

Hi Pete 147, I see that you have 17 replies, and of course they are all of different opinions, so you, and you only will have to make the final choice, however I am not making any recommendations, I am only stating what was factual at the end of 2021. Since Brexit Sabadell introduced a charge of 18 euros for any payed in deposit to a British account, however Currency Direct would refund the 18 euros on request, this I know because Sabadell held my account, and my  monthly transfers was done by Currency Direct and sometimes by Wise, for me I find transferring funds from my UK bank to Currency Direct, then from Currency Direct to Sabadell, was too much hassle, so I went to my Sabadell branch and put forward my concerns. I was offered an account called Expansion, with this account the bank will do your D/D FOC., and if you are having at least 700 euros transferred every month then you will have free banking. I am still with Sabadell and I am enjoying free banking. But please check with the bank to see if there are any changes, good luck with whatever your choice.
