Hi all,

Looking to import an English car to Spain.I have found a company in Los Alcazares that will sort all of the registering, SUMA etc. My question is does anybody know of a good scrap yard in the region? As I will need 2no headlights for a 2005 VW Polo. Cheers

Tbh, ebay is your friend. .de, .fr, etc.

Also ebay will sometimes find you new pattern parts from China.

I used ebay to find Honda lights in China, and Nissan lights in the USA.

Plenty of car scrap yards around.

But is it really worth importing a car from the UK now ?

It used to be,  but check your figures before going ahead.

Good point. I'm pulling figures together to compare all options. Problems in Spain are most of the reasonably priced cars have been to the moon and back, also having all of the paperwork in place from buyer is another headache. If you use a dealer prices are through the roof. I'll check the link you sent. Cheers

Purchasing a LHD Spanish reg vehicle in the south of England could be an option to consider.

I don't have any experience of doing it but I believe it has been discussed on here.
